W2CB #49: The Magic of Beginnings

Hi, everyone! Sybrina here with our first W2CB of the new year.

But, before we get to our challenge, we have Inspiration Team news to share.
  • We start by saying goodbye and thank you to Designers Penny Ward and Marty Fishman. The only thing  more impressive that Penny and Marty's talent is their kindness. Both have been absolute delights to work with. While they will be missed, we have promises that they will not be strangers.  All the best, ladies, in your future crafting adventures.  :)
  • We are thrilled to welcome Celeste Goff of Crafting Junky to our I-Team! Celeste and I met through Send a Smile 4 Kids. In addition to the adorable cards for the kids at Nationwide Children's, you may have seen the wonderful cards she makes for her blog's monthly Coffee and Cards with Celeste and Deb feature. Welcome, Celeste!

Now for this month's words. Our inspiration for our January/February challenge come to us from Meister Eckhart.

And suddenly you know: It's time to start something new and trust the magic of beginnings.

Let's see how our gals were inspired, starting with our newest I-Teammer.  :)

Celeste chose a gorgeous sentiment to commemorate a new beginning, and her leaf is absolutely beautiful. What a pretty card!

Kristina's made an absolutely adorable wedding card. Don't you just love her fab CAS design?! That waft of smoke is just too clever.

Bobbi also made a wedding card... for friends who love to scuba dive. What a perfect card to celebrate their new beginning!

Finally, I was inspired to use a stamp set gifted by a friend who had a few designs made into stamps for the very first time! Talk about the magic of beginnings!

So, what do these words mean to you? Maybe it's a new beginning of your very own. Maybe one of your loved ones is celebrating a big event... like an upcoming wedding, a newborn baby, a college graduation, or a well-deserved retirement. Maybe there's a friend facing a new challenge who would appreciate a handmade card with a note of encouragement.

Whatever the inspiration, we'd love to see your card/project. Share your creation for a chance to win a gift certificate. Our challenge winner will receive a gift certificate to the e-tailer of her/his choice.

  3. Happy New Year and welcome Celeste! What a perfect brief for a January challenge! My card celebrates no specific new beginning like a wedding, but rather the miracle of how every day gives us the opportunity of a new beginning to start afresh with new eyes and new opportunities! Thanks for the nudge, Sybrina! Hugs, Darnell
