Four Pieces of Pie for Five People

Hi, everyone! Happy Saturday!

Sybrina here with a quick reminder from the W2CB gals that there's still time to play along with our May/June Challenge. Our words for this month are:

 A mother is a person who seeing there are only four pieces of pie for five people, 

promptly announces she never did care for pie.

Since Mother's Day has passed, maybe a less literal interpretation might work. The card below is a birthday card from a former manager of mine at work who always had my back. And, scallops always remind me of pie... and flowers. Two of my favorite things!  LOL

W2CB #29: Four Pieces of Pie for Five People

Hi, everyone! Sybrina here with our May/June Words 2 Craft By challenge.


This month, we are inspired by the following Tenneva Jordan definition of motherhood.

 A mother is a person who seeing there are only four pieces of pie for five people, 

promptly announces she never did care for pie.

Even though our challenge is posting a few days after Mother's Day 2016, we couldn't resist selecting this part humorous, part whimsical, part poignant, all-parts true observation about what it means to be a mom.

So, how do these words inspire you?

• Maybe you'll be inspired to make a just-because something special for mom.

W2CB #28: April Suns and April Shadows

Hi, everyone! Sybrina here with the April/May W2CB Challenge.

Springtime is such a wonderful time of the year. Trees are budding, birds are chirping, and the grass is greening.

However, for those of us who live in the northern or central part of the country, it can be a frustrating time. One day, the sun is shining and the skies are blue. On the next day, the winds are cold and the storm clouds loom.... or the snow falls, which brings us to this challenge's words to craft by.
